So here is a nice lil mix of some classic Soul and Jazz Breaks and Beats. If you've been listening to Hip-Hop since the late 80's/early 90's u will know a lot of the Hip-Hop artist who used these songs to make some classic material. Some records like Kool & The Gang's N.T. & Bob James's Nautlius have had just about every part of the record used. All of these records are so much more than just that small break that was used. These are some genius records, sonically amazing, well written with some seriously dope musicianship going on. And if it weren't for Hip-Hop I would have never hardly known about any of these records. If you're not up on these joints, many are pretty standard so soak up some game.

I really love the 80's, I grew up in the 80's. I've always wanted to make a mix of 80's joints in that upbeat swing tempo(144-205bpms). This type of music was the fuel behind the popular 80's "White Man's Overbite" Dance. If you're not familiar it's that dance doesn't require much rhythm, thankfully. You saw it in so many 80's Movies, TV and videos. It was the perfect alternative for those white kids not able to master Breakdancing or anything Michael Jackson did on the dance floor. The term describes the facial expression white people make while dancing and in the 80's it was to the music you are about to hear. The mix kicks off with the song that might just be the definitive "White Man's Overbite" classic, who could forget the video...as much as we tried. Enjoy!!!! Dance to it, as badly as you want to!
